
October is going to be an exciting month for the schools! There are so many fun and engaging activities planned that it's sure to be a spooky good time. Make sure you don't miss out!


Hey there! You won't believe all the exciting things happening in the Benton County Schools this October. From Halloween-themed events to exciting educational activities, there's something for everyone. So why not join in on the fun and experience the spooky spirit for yourself?


The Benton County School Health Clinic is excited to announce that flu vaccinations are now available for all students. In order to make it easier for everyone to get vaccinated, the clinic will be open for extended hours on Tuesday, October 10th, and Thursday, October 19th, from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Please see the attached flyer for more details and information.


The soft lockdown has been cleared.

For precautionary reasons Camden schools are going into a soft lockdown. All student and staff members are safe. We will update when the lockdown is over.

If you need a flu shot, the Benton County School Health Clinic has covered you with extended hours on Oct 10 and Oct 19 (3:00 - 5:30). Head over to the clinic on these days to take advantage of this opportunity.


The CHS Cheerleaders are having a carwash at Pest Stop this Saturday, September 23rd, from 10-1. Please come out and support the CHS Cheerleaders!

Benton County Schools will be closing at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, September 20 in observation of the funeral of School Board member Mr. Robert Thompson.

The soft lockdown has been cleared due to the fast actions of the Natural Gas company.

For purely precautionary measures, all Camden schools are going into a soft lockdown. There is a natural gas leak off campus that is causing some unpleasant smell in the area.

Camden Bus 9 is running about 30 minutes late due to mechanical problems.

Just a quick reminder that the parent-teacher conferences for Camden Central High School are tonight and Tuesday, September 12, from 4-7 PM on both nights. For those with kiddos in grades K-8, their PTC will be on Thursday, October 19, and Tuesday, October 24. Hope to see you there!

Due to the forecast of extreme heat, the car wash sponsored by the CHS cheerleaders for Saturday, August 26 has been canceled.

Due to extreme heat concerns, the football game tonight has been moved to 8PM. Go Lions!!

Benton County is under a Excessive Heat Warning thru Friday. We have contacted some of our partners to open up cooling centers.
Big Sandy Senior Citizen Center will be open during normal hours and they will leave a phone number on the door if someone needs a place to cool for awhile.
Camden Senior Citizen Center will be open during normal hours Today and Friday, they will be closed on Thursday.
Camden Police Department will host a cooling center, just contact the dispatcher on duty.
