There will be school Friday, September 27. Someone thought it would be funny to sow the seeds of chaos and fabricate a message saying school was canceled. You can always know if a post is real by checking our app or website.

Safety has become an increasing concern in schools across the state and nation. After extensive discussions, it was decided that steamers, poppers, glitter, and confetti makers would not be allowed in the stadium starting next season (2025). Signs were made for this, and regrettably, some confusion resulted around when they should have been put up and notice about the decision given on our social media/app platforms. While we would greatly appreciate these items not being used during any games, they will be allowed for the remainder of this football season since they have already been allowed earlier. Finding solutions for security issues is not easy. We all want to support our students, and we truly believe we have some of the best fans around. As always, we appreciate your understanding and hope to see you tonight at the game.

A student had an issue that resulted in the ambulance being called to the Career and Technical Center. This was done out of an abundance of caution. As of this time, the student is in the care of medical providers and his parent.

TN Sheriff Response
We have received several concerns about a social media post tonight regarding a potential threat at Camden High. The Benton County School system and local law enforcement agencies are actively and thoroughly investigating the allegations. There is no evidence of a threat against any Benton County school at this time. However, as a precaution, law enforcement will be present in increased numbers at schools tomorrow.

MEET OUR NEW TEACHERS COACH JOHN ROSS HUDSON My name is John Ross Hudson, I grew up in Paris, TN and graduated in 2004. I then attended Tennessee Tech University, majored in EXPW with a minor in Biology, and played football for four years. After graduating from TN Tech, I moved to Lexington, TN, where I took a teaching and football coaching job at Lexington High School. I taught and coached football there for the last 14 years. I also met my wife, Brooklyn Hudson, while in Lexington. We have two children, Greyde Ross, 8, and Lyndie Brooke, 5. My wife and I are incredibly excited about joining the staff here at Camden Central. In my spare time, I enjoy anything outdoors, watching Auburn football and basketball, watching my kids play sports, and spending time with my family.

MEET OUR NEW TEACHERS MS. BROOKLYN HUDSON My name is Brooklyn Hudson. Currently, I am known as the new coach's wife, but soon, most will know me as the loud math teacher. I am married to John Ross Hudson, and we have two kids, Greyde and Lyndie. I completed my undergrad at Union University, graduating with a B.S. in Mathematics, and completed my Master of Education at Union as well. I taught math at Lexington High School for 11 years. It was a great experience to teach at the school where I graduated, but I am so excited for the new adventure of teaching here at Camden. I love students, and I am all about school spirit! Teaching is my passion; I love building student relationships, and my goal is to help each student find their strengths so they can believe in themselves the way I believe in them. Outside the classroom, I love reading, being outside, and spending time with family and friends. GO LIONS!
