CCTE Program Details
Benton County School System is dedicated to offering students a wide range of educational options to complement their general education curriculum through a comprehensive Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. Benton County Schools encourages students to take advantage of the various programs of study that enable them to explore their strengths, align them with a rewarding career or college pathway, and expand their skill base.
One of the significant advantages of taking career and technical education courses is that students get a glimpse of the world of work through real-world applications using cutting-edge equipment. Moreover, career and technical education students can earn college credit through dual credit and dual enrollment agreements with TCAT Henry/Carroll, the University of Tennessee at Martin, and Jackson State Community College.
To provide work experiences to career and technical education students, the Benton County School System has partnered with numerous businesses throughout the community. This program, known as work-based learning, helps students acquire practical knowledge and experience and equips them with the skills required to succeed in the workplace.
