Benton County Schools

Miss Emma Pierce, a senior at Camden Central Highschool, joined Governor Bill Lee along with other State Representatives and Commissioners to honor all Tennesseans who have served in the United States Armed Forces on November 07, 2024, at the Governor’s Veteran Day Ceremony near the State Capital in Nashville, TN. She read her essay, “What the Flag Means to Me”. Veterans Day holds a special place in her heart, being her grandfather served and is buried at the State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Cross Roads. They also recognized five state employees nominated by their department who do exceptional work in state government. She is the daughter of Michael and Emily Pierce, both of Camden, TN.
