[Camden, TN] - Benton County Schools is proud to announce that Mark Florence, Director of Schools, has been selected as the Coordinated School Health Institute's Director of Schools of the Year for the second time.
The CSH Institute planning committee reviewed nominations and selected Florence for this prestigious award based on his outstanding leadership and advocacy for CSH within and outside the school district. Florence formally and regularly communicates the importance of wellness to all students, staff, and parents and has allocated the necessary funding and resources to support CSH initiatives.
"We are thrilled to see Mark receive this award for the second time," said Donna Moore, Benton County Coordinated School Health. "His commitment to promoting comprehensive school health has significantly impacted our district, and we are proud to have him as a leader in our school community."
The Director of Schools/Supervisor of the Year award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication to promoting CSH within their school district. Florence has been a champion for CSH for many years, and his efforts have improved health outcomes and academic success for students.
