Families enjoying Reading Night

HOLLADAY, Tenn. (Sept 26, 2023) – Holladay School recently hosted a Family Reading Night with the Grands. The event was held for students in grades K-8 on Sept. 19, 2023, for students to invite their grandparents to read and show them their school.

Grandparents were given a glimpse into their grandchildren’s lives as they were invited into Holladay School. Grandparents read, walked the halls, and explored classrooms with their grandchildren. The grandparents and students then ate popcorn as they read in the library.

“Fostering a love of reading is one of our goals at Holladay School,” said Amy Davis, principal at Holiday School. “What better way than to encourage students to read with their grandparents – the one’s they love.”

Family Reading Night was an opportunity to advance Holladay students’ education by encouraging them to read. Students were also encouraged to give their grandparents keepsakes to demonstrate how they care.
